Rules & Regulations

 

Opening times are from 8am to dusk, 9pm in the summer months, 7 days a week, with every other Saturday afternoon restricted by a clay pigeon shoot from 12:30pm to 3:00pm.  Please phone for more information or click here for shoot dates.

 

These rules may change from time to time as the fishery progresses.  Please abide with these rules as they have been created to provide a pleasant fishing environment and to ensure the well being of our fish.

No Litter Please

Pease take your litter home with you when leaving.

 

General Rules

Strictly only barbless hooks, maximum size number 12 

Dogs are not permitted

Children under 16 must have adult supervision

No night fishing or off the peg fishing

All nets, stink bags and mats must be dipped

Open from 8am till dusk (or 9pm in summer months)

 

Trout Lake and River Fishing Rules

2 rods per session on the river

All brown trout caught to be returned to river

Please return any fish of 3lb and over (lake rainbows)

 

Coarse Lake Rules

No keep nets - except in matches

Unhooking mat is required

No braided line

No blood worms or jokers

Boilies only on a hook - No loose feed boilies

No rod sharing

No spinning

Landing nets must be used at all times

 

Please note that all anglers over the age of 12 must have a valid Environment Agency rod Licence.  These can be obtained from the post office or online at Post Office online
